Will Rajamouli’s “Magadheera” be Tollywood’s “Sivaji”?

July 30, 2009

Just 1 more day to go! Every TV Channel in AP is flashing trailers, and other programmes related to it. Just about everyone is talking about it…and adding more to all the mania, it’s highly impossible to get a ticket for the next three days for any of the shows in any of the 48 cinema halls and 6 multiplexes in Hyderabad. Yes! I am talking about Rajamouli’s “Magadheera” starring Ram Charan Teja and Kajal. The trailers looks out of the world for a Telugu movie buff and if you don’t make the mistake of comparing it with movies like LOTR, then I think this will be one of the best works of Visual Effects, Tollywood can come up with.

Thank you all for the overwhelming response for the movie reviews I have written so far. Perhaps “Magadheera” will be the first movie for which I can’t post a movie review until Monday! Well, I would love to be the first of the lot to write a thorough and unbiased review, but then thanks to the hype and hoopla this movie has been generating over the past few months, all the shows in all multiplexes are houseful till Sunday night! That’s scary and crazy as well…but then, I can’t crib about it! Finally, we do have a movie which is set to ring the cash registers unlike any other Telugu flick this year. Let’s hope this movie sets a new benchmark for what a huge commercial cinema should be like.

An Earnest Plea: I am desperately looking for a movie ticket of “Magadheera” in any of the Theatres/Multiplexes in Hyderabad on 31st July. If you or anyone you know has an extra ticket to spare, please call me…09885682543.

Before I sign off, this weekend “Magadheera” is not the only thing Hyderabad can look forward to. Here’s a wonderful project called “1000 Portraits Project” by HWS which will make its presence felt in various locations across Hyderabad. Read more…@

Dont compare Magadheera with Dirty Shivaji movie.
Maghadheera is a classic technical wonder.
Shivaji is a scrap dirtiest movie i have ever seen.
