Obama in Hyderabad (India)??

February 4, 2009

Well, not really. But ever since his Presidential election campaign captured the imagination of every other person on Earth, he has been pretty much the symbol of “Hope”. And the situation has come to a stage where for every second mention of “Hope” and “Change” in political speeches, Obama’s name somehow is shoved into the speech. Here’s a picture which I found on one of the billboards in Hyderabad, India.Obama and Chiranjeevi

The picture on your right side says the following stuff…(written in Telugu)

“Today, in America it’s Obama”

“Tomorrow, in Andhra Pradesh it’s going to be Chiranjeevi”.

“The only thing people expect is “Change””.

-Praja Rajyam Party (PRP)

The elections in the state of Andhra Pradesh are just around the corner. And like any other political parties, Praja Rajyam Party (Praja Rajyam means People’s Kingdom), has left no stone unturned to make its presence felt. What baffles more than anything is, Obama (I presume) stands for a lot more than just Hope and Change. Will Chiranjeevi be able to take an oath that he has a clean record so far? I doubt it. Let’s wait and watch. For the time being, I am just laughing at the randomness of this pic! I wonder if US Government has had a look at this pic…maybe Obama should have a copyright for his images. Or atleast for now, sue PRP for such usage.
