The Road Ahead…

Life’s still hazy. As damage control measures are being taken by everyone around, there’s still a certain degree of uncertainity. Couple of days ago, according to a report in Economic Times, Infy had asked its recruitment staff not to poach on Satyam employees and in the days to come many more are bound to follow this principle. We in India has always adhered to the Domino Effect and no matter what, everyone has tried to emulate the standards set by others. And this act by our peers is no different.

Looking closely at various issues, a major crisis is soon in the offing. And this time in the middle of the storm I see the Congress and TDP governments. Back in the heydays when everything was in good shape, the state and central governments continued to support Satyam’s expansion plans across South India. Now, all those deals will be under scanner. Even as the politicians try to distance themselves from the scandal, the complexity of the situation added with the number of years we all have been living like a huge and happy family, it won’t be easy to claim innocence. Already hundreds of bloggers and mainstream media journalists have been digging out the reports of the past several years about the criticism which Satyam and other IT companies have faced. One of them has been the verbal war between E.Sridharan and the AP Government late last year, when the latter awarded the Hyderabad Metro Rail Project to Maytas.

Late last night, after the Government dissolved the Board of Directors, it issued orders to appoint new set of board of directors within a week. As we gear up for this crucial ahead, marred with investigations and scathing remarks and criticism from all quarters, only a glimmer of hope prevails. The resolve of associates to stand united, irrespective of the claims that 14000 new resumes have been posted on various job sites, lifts the spirits in this hour of crisis.

There’s passage in Bible which says…

Ezekiel 25:17.

“The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother’s keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.”

The words above strike me like a bolt of lightening. And as I look towards the skies for a miracle, I vow not to look down and fall prey to darkness. Clearly the road ahead is the most difficult path I have ever taken and I move on, with a hope that I don’t come across the Dead-End. But no matter what…I have realised 3 things about Life….Life Goes On….
